How to Claim Your PSIMA Account

Already a PSIMA member but never had an online account? This page shows you exactly how to link your existing membership to the new portal.

Claim My Account

What can I search with?

You can search using any one of the following. If the first doesn't find you, try another. The system is forgiving — small typos and missing middle names are usually fine.

1. Your Full Name

Best for most members
Example:Ahmad Bin Ibrahim
  • Type your name the way PSIMA has it on record
  • If not found, try just your first name or just your surname
  • Typos are OK — small spelling mistakes still work
  • Try with and without "Bin", "Binti", "a/l", "a/p"

2. Your IC Number

Fastest match
Example:900101145678 or 900101-14-5678
  • Malaysian IC is 12 digits — dashes are optional
  • Both "900101145678" and "900101-14-5678" work
  • If you hold a passport, enter the passport number as-is

3. Your Phone Number

Very reliable
Example:012-345 6789 or 60123456789
  • Enter the mobile number you gave PSIMA
  • Spaces and dashes are fine — we ignore them
  • Works with or without the "60" country code
  • Even the last 4 digits alone can help find you

4. Your Email

If you remember which one you used
Example:yourname@example.com
  • Use the same email PSIMA already has for you
  • Just part of the email works too, e.g. "yourname"

5. Your Old Membership Number

If you still have your old card
Example:12345 or PSIMA-12345
  • This is the membership ID from your old certificate or card
  • Type it exactly as printed
Try more than one! If your name search returns too many people or the wrong person, try your IC or phone number — those are unique and give exact matches.

The 5 steps to claim

This is what happens after you click the “Claim My Account” button.

Search for your record

Go to the Claim Account page and type any of the information above into the search box. If one method does not work, try another.

Pick your record from the list

We will show up to 5 matches with masked details (e.g. "Ahmad B****" and "****6789") so you can recognise yourself without exposing your data publicly.

Verify your identity

Enter your full IC or passport number. If we do not have your IC on file, you will also be asked to upload a photo or PDF of your IC/passport so our admin team can verify it manually.

Create your login

Set up an email and password (at least 8 characters, with 1 uppercase, 1 lowercase and 1 number). This becomes your portal login from now on.

Done — you are in

Your existing membership data is linked automatically. You will land on your dashboard and see your membership card, expiry date, and renewal options.

If you can't find yourself — try these first

Before contacting admin, please try each of these. One of them usually works.

Search failed with your name?

Try searching with just your first name OR just your surname. Malaysian names often have 3–4 words; the shorter search catches more variations.

Still nothing?

Try your IC number without dashes (e.g. 900101145678). This is the most reliable way to find your record.

IC didn't work?

Your record may have been registered without an IC on file. In that case, try your phone number (just the last 4 digits is enough) or your email.

System says 'already claimed'?

Someone has already created a portal login for your record. Go to the login page and use Forgot Password to recover access.

You used to pay but your email has changed?

Try searching with your old email first. If not found, your IC or phone will still match.

No IC on record + can't upload?

If the IC upload step fails, make sure your file is a PDF, JPG or PNG under 5 MB. Take a fresh photo of your IC in good lighting if the old one is blurry.

What happens after you claim successfully

  • You're auto-logged into your dashboard
  • Your old membership number, expiry date, and category stay exactly the same
  • A welcome email is sent to your new login address
  • You can now renew online, update your profile, and use all portal features

Tried everything and still stuck?

If none of the above works, contact our administrator. We can look up your record manually and help you get in.

When you email us, please include:

  • Your full name (as registered with PSIMA)
  • Your IC or passport number
  • Your mobile phone number
  • Your old membership number (if you remember)
  • What you've already tried (e.g. “searched name, got no results”)
